Very imaginative, and I like the way you ink. Can you say something more about your materials? I just bought a set of dip pen nibs, and am currently battling them. I think my favorite is the crow quill, which also seems to be called the Hunt 102...? I find the terminology pretty confusing. Anyway, it would be good to hear what you use. Also, sorry I'm really ignorant, but what are aquarell colors? water colors? If so, do you do this on watercolor paper? If so, isn't that hard to ink with nibs?

Okay, about the nib i use, its just a simple writing nib for writing english copperplate script. I dont think that it has any special name. I got it for birthday many years ago. it looks quite a bit like a crow quill that was streched, and the ductus can be simmilar. The nib is made from stainless steal and quite flexible which makes it ideal for me to draw different thicness of line without hurting the nib [i used crow quill that deformed a bit, why i dont use it anymore now ^^]. It also has a good reservoire on top to hold more ink at once, so i dont have to dip into my inkwell that often. The ink i use is ordinary black india ink.

About the paper i use. There are quite different kinds of watercolor paper. some have more and rough structure, but there are also papers like the one i use with a more smooth and compact surface. It should be just a matter of a good sorted art material shop to find a uasable paper.

Aquarell colours are colours that consist of very very very fine pigment that is bound to gummi arabicum which is soluble in water. The colours are translucent and therefore painted in layers.
But you can really find out more here: [link]

Thank you! I had read some comments from people trying to use a nib on watercolor paper, and having it catch and tear a lot, but I guess you can get smoother paper. Also, your writing nib might be less sharp than the crow quill I'm currently using. And now I see that aquarelle is actually another word for watercolor; I thought it was a brand of paint or ink. I'm interested in trying to color some ink drawings, but I've never worked with watercolors. I like the look you've achieved.

many people find it hard to work with watercolour. the trick is to mix your colour solution with water before you start colouring. And then you have to work quite fast. And, of course there is always some waiting time for the colour drying. Patience is a quality you should well develope when working with aquarell technique ^^

This thing is really wonderful!
Perhaps one of the early human colonial ships that landed on Rodinia long ago?
love the colors and the space! Seems like it has a lot of places you could go inside.
This is very important on long space journeys!

Plus big happy pod ships squatting on a new planet would be a nice image to see.:)
They finally get to rest after their long trip in space.:)

That must look really crazy. Like a small moon landing on the planets surface. For eventual folks watching this it should be most impressive.

Oh, wow, I didn't realize it was so big. But yeah that would be neat to see or even if it hovered in space and sent down smaller landing craft, would be nice to watch like little stars falling out of a new moon in the sky.
